How much does a website cost in Bangkok? A 2026 price guide

How much does a website cost in Bangkok? 2026 price guide with a sample website estimate

Short answer: a professionally designed business website in Bangkok typically costs from ฿15,000, and an online store or listings website from ฿30,000. Once you add the features most businesses actually need, such as Thai payments, LINE, PDPA compliance and SEO, a complete setup usually lands between ฿43,000 and ฿80,000. Hosting, SEO and maintenance are ongoing costs on top.

That’s the short version. Below, we explain where the money goes, what Thai businesses often forget to budget for, and how to avoid paying for things you don’t need. If you’d rather skip ahead, our Thailand website price planner gives you an instant estimate for your own project.

Why website prices in Bangkok vary so much

Ask five Bangkok web designers for a quote and you can get five very different numbers. Some agencies publish ranges from ฿15,000 to ฿500,000, and both ends are honest. The difference comes down to four things:

  • Design approach: a template with your logo dropped in is quick and cheap. A design made around your brand and customers takes more thought, and usually converts better.
  • Type of website: a site with a handful of fixed pages is very different from one with products, rooms, menus or properties that you add to every week.
  • Features: payments, bookings, multiple languages and integrations each add setup and testing time.
  • Who builds it: a freelancer, a small agency and a large agency have very different costs and levels of support after launch.

Website prices by type

Business website: from ฿15,000

Right for companies, clinics, consultancies, professional services and startups that need a credible, fast website with a few key pages. A typical package includes up to five pages (Home, About, Services, Contact and so on), a blog or news section, a contact form, basic SEO setup and a mobile-ready, fast build.

Online store or listings website: from ฿30,000

Any website with repeating content falls into this group, not just online shops. If you or your team will keep adding items of the same kind, such as products, hotel rooms, restaurant dishes, spa treatments, properties, services or projects, the site needs a proper structure behind it: custom fields, a listing page, a single-item page and an easy admin screen. For online stores this also covers WooCommerce, the cart and the checkout. See our ecommerce website service for more.

Typical complete setups by industry

Costs Thai businesses often forget to budget for

Many quotes leave out features that Thai customers simply expect. Make sure yours covers them, or budget for them separately:

  • Thai payments: PromptPay QR and card payments through a local gateway such as Omise or 2C2P. Customers abandon checkouts that don’t offer their usual way to pay.
  • LINE integration: many Thai customers would rather message you on LINE than fill in a form or send an email.
  • PDPA compliance: Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act applies to any website that collects names, emails or phone numbers. That means a cookie consent banner and a proper privacy policy.
  • Thai and English: if your customers include both Thai and international buyers, a bilingual site removes a real barrier.
  • Thai shipping rates: accurate Kerry, Flash or Thailand Post rates at checkout prevent surprise costs and abandoned carts.
  • Google Business Profile: for local searches, your Google profile is often seen before your website.

Ongoing costs: what you’ll pay after launch

The build is a one-off cost, but every website has some running costs. Plan for these from the start:

  • Hosting: managed WordPress hosting from about ฿7,000 per year. Busy online stores may need a larger or cloud plan.
  • Domain and email: a few hundred to a few thousand baht a year, depending on the domain and number of mailboxes.
  • Maintenance: WordPress, WooCommerce and plugin updates, backups and security monitoring. A care plan starts at ฿2,500 per month, or you can manage updates yourself.
  • SEO: optional, but this is how most businesses grow traffic after launch. Monthly SEO starts at around ฿10,000 per month.

WordPress or Shopify for a Thai business?

Shopify is quick to start but adds monthly platform fees, and many useful features are paid apps on top. WordPress with WooCommerce has no platform fee, you own the website outright, and it works well with Thai payment gateways. For most Thai businesses that want control and lower running costs, WordPress is the better long-term choice. Shopify can suit sellers who want a fully hosted, hands-off setup and are happy with the monthly fees.

How to avoid overpaying (or underpaying)

  1. Know which type of site you need. If you don’t need repeating content, a business website will do, and it costs half as much.
  2. Ask for a feature-by-feature quote. A single lump sum hides what you’re paying for. A clear breakdown lets you drop what you don’t need.
  3. Check that the design is genuinely yours. A cheap template can cost more in lost enquiries than a well-designed site costs to build.
  4. Confirm you’ll own the website. Once you’ve paid in full, the site, design and content should be yours, with no proprietary code holding you hostage.
  5. Ask what happens after launch. Who updates plugins, fixes problems and keeps the site secure?
